Bhubaneshwar-based electric two-wheeler startup, owned by the Bharat Group, has just recently forayed into the high-speed electric vehicle classification with the launch of its front runner item called the EeVe Soul. 

The brand new EeVe Soul electric scooter has been launched in India at Rs 1.40 lakh, ex-showroom. Nonetheless, the business hasn’t disclosed whether this sticker price will consist of the FAME II subsidy and various other state government aids or otherwise. The electric scooter is set to launch by early 2022. 

Specifications

The new EeVe Soul electric mobility scooter obtains not one yet two innovative Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LFP) batteries that are stored under its seat. These batteries are swappable & removable, hence allowing the customers to charge the battery at home conveniently.

For this, we are working on strengthening and expanding our network system from existing 150 dealers and sub-dealers to 300 and mark our pan-India presence,”.

Mileage

The e-scooter claims to take about 3-4 hours to charge from 0 to 100 percent completely. EeVe claims that the Soul electric scooter has a top speed of 60 kmph, and also it can provide a maximum range of 120 kilometers on a solitary charge. However, this range can be achieved only under the Eco Mode, maintaining a speed of 40km/h. 

Price

The EeVe Soul comes for Rs1,40,000/- (ex-showroom) in India. However, the prices may vary based on the state EV policies.

Okinawa Scooters – Praisepro

Okinawa Autotech was founded in 2015 by Jitendra Sharma. His mission behind this company is to create a clean and sustainable future by helping adapt to electric vehicles. 

Okinawa Praise Pro is one of the four electric scooter models currently offered. The others are IPraise+, Lite, and Ridge+

Specification

The Praise Pro has a 2.0 kWh Lithium-ion detachable battery. The battery has a three years warranty. Praise Pro has an electronic-assisted braking system with regenerative energy.

The motor type is Brushless DC (BLDC) Electric motor, and it can produce a maximum peak power of 2500 W. The motor comes with a warranty of three years or 36000kms, whichever is earlier.

The maximum load capacity is 150 kgs. The seat height is 800mm. 

It has been provided with 90/ 90 -12 tubeless tires for both front and rear, with a stylish aluminum alloy wheel. 

Mileage

Praise Pro takes almost around 3 hours for a full charge. In the sports mode, you can get a range of 88 kms in one single charge.

The ex-showroom price is Rs79,845/-. The pre-booking amount is Rs 2000/- which gets deducted from the actual price of the scooter.

OLA Electric Scooters

Ola Electric Mobility is an electric two-wheeler manufacturer based in Bengaluru, India. They acquired the Amsterdam-based EV company Etergo to manufacture its electric scooters in India. Currently, it produces only two variants, i.e., Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro, available in ten different colors. 

Specification

Ola S1 Pro motor produces a maximum power of 8500 W. It reaches a top speed of 115 km/h, faster than the S1 by 25 km/h. 

The S1 Pro accelerates from 0 to 40kmph in just 3 seconds. 

Both models provide hill-hold function, voice assistant, and cruise control. The scooter also features a 7″ display, an Octa-core processor, and 3 GB RAM. 

Few other noteworthy features include side-stand-down, anti-theft alert, geo-fencing, reverse mode, Get Home Mode, Take Me Home Lights, Limp Home Mode, and a sound system to imitate a petrol-powered scooter. However, Ola has not provided most of the features to the current customers and has promised to add these features later as an OTA update.

Mileage

The battery capacity for S1 is 2.98 kWh, and for S1 Pro, it is 3.97 kWh. It takes around five and half hours to charge the battery fully. The S1 has a range capacity of 121kms per charge, while the S1 Pro provided 181 kms on one charge.

Price

The Ola S1 is priced at Rs 99,999, while Ola S1 Pro is available at Rs 1,29,999. Both prices are ex-showroom Bengaluru, after considering the new FAME II subsidy. The final price may vary depending on the state-level subsidies.

Bounce Infinity E1- The Most Affordable Electric Scooter

A Bangalore-based rental scooter startup owns bounce. Bounce has come up with a unique battery swapping feature plan that allows you to buy the scooter with a battery or without a battery. When you buy the scooter without a battery, you can pay for the battery swaps based on their nominal monthly subscription plans.

Specification

The battery type is lithium Ion and is portable cum swappable. The motor type is BLDC electric motor, and it can generate a maximum power of 1500W. The warranty for the motor is for three years or 72000kms. 

The scooter has a hydraulic suspension type and produces a maximum torque of 83 Nm. The curb weight of the scooter is 94kgs, and the top speed of Infinity E1 is 65 km/h.

It comes with several color options like sparkle black, comet gray, sporty red, pearl white, and desat silver.

The Bounce Infinity E-1 battery variant model takes around 5 hours for a full charge and gives a range of 85kms on a single charge.

The price of Infinity E1 with battery starts from Rs. 59,999 (ex-showroom). While the price for Infinity E1 without a battery starts at Rs 36,099. You can swap your battery from the nearest swap station, and the plan starts from as low as Rs 35/- per swap.

Bookings for Infinity E1 have started with a refund of Rs 499/-. The deliveries are set to start from March 2022. 

Hero Electric Optima Hx

Hero Electric, one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers, launched Optima HX in late 2020. 

Specification

The Optima HX has a BLDC electric motor with a maximum power of 1200 W. The motor comes with a warranty of three years. The battery is portable and can be removed and charged at the user’s convenience.

The scooter has a telescopic suspension type. The colors are available in Grey, Blue, and White variants. The top speed of Optima HX is 42 kms/hr, and the single kerb weight of the scooter is 72.5kgs.

Mileage

The battery takes around 4 to 5 hours to get fully charged. Optima HX with a single battery gives a range of 82kms on a single charge. The Optima HX with a double battery gives a range of 122 Kms on every charge.

You can go for the installation of Ather Dot in your home. It is dedicated and easy to install a home charger and can charge from 0 to 80% in 3 hours and 35 minutes. It has in-built auto cut-off and surge protection. 

You can also charge your scooter at any Ather Grid public charging points in your city. However, in 2021, Ather Grid is currently available in Bengaluru and Chennai, and the company is planning to expand to other cities within a few months slowly.

TVS iQube Electric Scooter

TVS Motors, the well-known brand in the two-wheeler and three-wheeler industry, is now expanding into the electric vehicle market. 

KN Radhakrishnan, CEO of TVS Motors, has announced that his company is investing more than Rs 1,000/- crore to build the electric vehicle portfolio. The company has also decided to increase the production capacity of the iQube scooter from 600 units to 10000 units per month, considering the hugely positive response from the market. 

Specification

The TVS iQube uses the BLDC electric motor, which has a maximum power of 4400 W. iQube has three lithium-ion batteries with a collective power rating of 2.25kWh and is water and dust resistant. The battery has a three years warranty or 50,000kms, whichever is earlier.

The Kerb weight of iQube is 118kgs, and it can take a maximum load of 150kgs. It has a monoshock suspension, and the max torque is 140 Nm. 

The front-wheel comes with a disc brake, while the rear wheel has a drum brake.  

Currently, it is only available in one variant color, i.e., white.
